Tuesday I had a woolie class with Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings. I am so new to wool projects that I didn’t realize that taking a class with Lisa is kind of a big deal. Anyway, it was a full day of cutting and fusing and hand work. The project is simple so we only used the buttonhole and the stem stitch, but I learned some great tips for working with wool and threads and got a good start on my project.
I wish I could get better color in the photo, but my studio is really dark this morning and the lights are not playing nicely with the project.
I’ve only stitched down some of the flower pieces and worked on the stems. And as you can see my stitches need some work, but this is my learning project. I suspect I will get better by the end.
