Three of the four bento bags I made this evening…I am trying to use up some of the fabric that has accumulated over 25 years of quilting. Sadly, even with all the quilts I make I still have quite a fabric stash
You can find the tutorial here – TamaraKate I did make one change. The first step has you cut a 32″ square then fold and trim it into a triangle…which ends up as a 23″ square of fabric…um, why not just cut a 23″ square to start with? So I have been cutting my fabric into 24″ squares and making my bags. After the first one they go really quickly. I made 4 after dinner tonight. And of course you could make them other sizes.
These are going to be used for wrapping some Christmas presents this year. I figure this size makes a good bag for holding yarn or projects or even lunch.
I’ve also made several simple drawstring bags for wrappings. I have meant to make reusable fabric bags for a few years now. I the idea marinated long enough that I finally got some done 😉
