I’m curious about how you did your baptist fan. I have used pattern boards with a stylus and struggled with aligning the rows as I rolled the quilt. It looks like you skipped the largest arc so that there was no issue with lining up the largest arc with the bottom of the next row. Can you share your technique?
This was a digital design done by my IQ system. Because of draw up and shifting in the quilt sandwich I leave an even gap between the rows. It is much less of a distraction the eye than trying to meet the row up and getting overlap or not quite hitting the mark.
Before I had IQ I used the boards and got pretty good at lining them up to overstitch…it had to do with no stitching the largest arc; the one that would be overstitched when you did the next row…if I remember correctly.
