I gave my sister, Missy a project for Xmas this past year. She hadn’t embroidered before and had made noises about doing “something” over the winter. Since I had purchased Crabapple Hill’s Snowmen A to Zzzzz at the Grand Rapids AQS show I figured I found the perfect present for her.
Not wanting to overwhelm her (and in case she decided that she hated hand embroidery!) I prepped only one of the snowmen then I hit the shops for supplies – hoop, needles, floss and nice pair of small scissors, etc and put it all in a cute basket, tied up with selvedges.
By Feb. she had the stitching done and just handed it back to me yesterday to finish. I got the borders on and the backing and binding ready today. I hope to pop it on the machine and have it back to her soon…as for my snowmen embroideries, I think I have 6 or so done…don’t be looking for THAT finished project for a while 😉
