MQR Challange………..

July 30, 2008 by threadtales

Miss Janet from MQR has issued a challange to those of us who quilt for a living. The challange is to get us into our studios and get our work done on these lazy summer days…………!

I had two client quilts to show for myself last week (one full day was taken up for our trip to the repair and maint. shop!)

And I have three to show for myself so far this week. A 4th goes on today and it is smallish and has all-over quilting so I may be able to start a 5th before the week’s end……..yay!

Here is a bright and fun one from this week – pieced and appliqued by the illustrious Betsy C who told me to have FUN with it!! As always, click to enlarge……..

In other news, we are having a steamy week here in West Michigan and it is going to get steamier for the weekend. Ugh! Gonna have to turn on the air!

Going to a play with my very best friend on Friday night at Hope College – Kiss Me Kate which I have never seen.

The blueberries are ripe and ready for picking! Gotta get out one morning this week before it gets too hot and pick several pounds to tide me over the rest of the year! I live to pick blueberries.

How fun, I love your quilting! I’ve gotten 4 tops quilted this week (Tues-Mon). There wasn’t anything too difficult but I’m glad to be working my way through some of these donation tops I have waiting.
