Edited to fix the link to Meandering Magic.
Pretty little baby quilt from Dorothy to start back…She brought me a larger one of these earlier this year. I think we quilted it the same way…Feather meander adapted from Suzanne Early’s book Meander Magic.
Off the machine…
And a little closer to the quilting…

Gorgeous! Appreciate the 2 pictures– the close up picture is great. You make it look so easy…. Thanks for sharing- always.
Nice quilting. I am having trouble getting motivated to start back quilting.

I was anxious to get back, but after 4 hours I came upstairs and took a nap! I am only a 1/3 of the way through the next one.
Tomorrow is another day!

Very pretty, Terri!
Thanks, Suzanne! I mean really! Thanks! I use these Meandering Magic type designs often and my clients love them!

It’s ironic….I, personally, haven’t used the technique in so long (um, haven’t quilted in so long, really, either…), but it’s great to know that it’s still out there in the world being used!
This is lovely, and I think I need to buy the book!
Oh yes, you do! I got it as a fairly new quilter and I didn’t have any problems working with the designs.
Suzanne does it a little differently than I do. If I remember right she does both sides of the spine at the same time. I do one side and then go back and do the other which makes for three passes so Suzanne’s way is more efficient.
If you look closely at the last pic you will see that my fronds do not meet the spine. That way I don’t get that one-stitch-past-the-spine or a couple of fronds that are disconnected while the others connect with the spine perfectly. I can be less exact and it still looks good!
I do recommend the Meandering Magic AND More Meandering Magic books. You can find them using the link in the blog post.

Terri, I think your link is missing the colon, here’s the correct link:
http://www.lulu.com/us/en/shop/suzanne-earley/meandering-magic-the-deluxe-edition/ebook/product-20062847.html
ArtisanAtHeart: the 2 books have been combined in to one downloadable e-book, for a lot less $$$ than the printed books used to cost!
Thanks, Suzanne…I fixed it!
