Sarabeth did an excellent job piecing this top…love the gold background fabric! I really makes a vibrant quilt! She brought a wool batting and wanted it to remain full so we chose an open basket weave for the blocks and wiggly piano keys for the border…
Currently reading: Smokin’ Seventeen by Janet Evanovich (I know, I know…but it’s a fun fast summer read!)
Currently watching: We have the first disc of the 3rd season of Leverage from Netflix to watch for pizza night.
Currently cooking: Well, pizza tonight…but after that…not much…it’s going to be too darn HOT here in West Michigan for several days…sounds like a salad and sandwich week…maybe some popcorn!

Love the way you quilted this one! I made Nickel Bricks for my grandson using black Kona and lots of fun novelty prints but had it quilted with a big bug panto. I would certainly try this on another one. I love your work and so enjoy your posts. Melody in Santa Fe
I love the way that is quilted! wonderful!
Amazing what a quilting design can do for an already beautiful quilt. Lovely!
I’m a Janet Evanovich fan, too. Joe or Ranger?!
As exciting a Ranger is…I would probably choose Joe…I need stability in my world.
I love the way this turned out. Don’t you love wool batting.
The quilt is beautiful—but, your ideas for quilting this project really make it Pop!…..Wonderful!
Seriously awesome quilting idea! Thanks for sharing.
Nice quilting. I am learning so it is so interesting to see what others do. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! I have seen lots and lots of quilts that used that pattern, but they were never quilted that way! It looks beautiful, and very different. Thanks for sharing.
I just love this quilt. Where can I buy the pattern?? Appreciate your reply.
I believe the pattern is called Nickel Bricks…because it is made from 5″ charm squares. I wish I had more info for you, but it is a client’s quilt and not a top that I made.
